Everyday Living

Support to assist participants maintain a clean and safe home environment, including domestic assistance (cleaning, laundry), minor home maintenance, gardening, and meal preparation so you can stay independent in your own home.

Note: CPE Group uses third party service providers for gardening and home maintenance & repairs. The actual charge will be the third-party’s invoiced amount plus a 12% Administration Fee (refer below to section titled “Brokered Services”). However, our charge will not exceed the above rates without your prior agreement.

Independence

Aims to help participants manage their activities daily and the loss of skills required to live independently through personal care (showering, dressing) and support for social participation, such as transport and respite care.

CPE Group employes its own allied health professionals. However, CPE Group also uses third-party providers to meet your care needs or your requests for a specific service provider. If we use third-party providers, the actual charge will be the third-party’s invoiced amount plus a 12% Administration Fee (refer below to section titled “Brokered Services”). However, the charge will not exceed the above rates without your prior agreement.

We have nothing but praise for CPE. Been with these guys for a while now. Participant Contributions

The Government expects Participants to contribute towards the cost of some services. Providers like CPE Group are required by law to charge and collect contributions. Contribution rates are determined by Services Australia using an Income and Means Assessment and will be as set out below:

Grandfathering provisions apply to clients who were approved for a Home Care Package on or before 12 September 2024, ie:

Clients who did not have to pay Income Tested Care Fees will not have to contribute under Support at Home;
Clients who had to pay Income Tested Care Fees will pay the same or less under Support at Home.

Financial Assistance

In certain circumstances, you can apply for a Fee Reduction Supplement and the government can provide financial assistance to help meet your contribution obligations. Please contact your care manager for details or visit the My Aged Care Website. There is a provision for a reduction in the co-contribution fee. in ??? whereby anyone who finds their level of co contributions will affect the number of services they can afford/need, is able to apply

Care Management - Hourly Rates

Care Management is support you receive to help your care run smoothly. It is activities including but not limited to:

Developing, monitoring and updating your care plan
Monitoring Support Worker notes to ensure oversight of your health and services
Communication with Support Workers regarding your needs and wellbeing
Helping you access other supports if your needs change

Note: The government will deduct and set aside a fixed 10% from your quarterly Support at Home budget which is available for care management. We then claim the cost of your care management from the government by providing evidence of the care management hours that we deliver to you. The above hourly rates for care management do not affect the amount of care management we will provide to you nor do they reduce the funds available for your Daily Living, Independence or Clinical supports. You will not be required to make any contribution towards the cost of your care management.

Cancellation Policy

CPE Group reserves the right to charge the full fee for a service and any participant contribution in case of "late notice cancellation" or "no show".

A late cancellation occurs when a participant provides less than 24 hours notice of a cancellation to a scheduled service.
A ‘no show’ occurs when a participant is not present at the agreed place or at the agreed time of a scheduled service.

CPE Group will take into consideration reasonable grounds for the late cancellation or no show, i.e. emergencies like unexpected hospitalisation.

Note:
The minimum shift length, except for Allied Health and Therapeutic services, is one (1) hour. Service visits that go over one hour will be charged in 15-minute increments calculated at the hourly rate. Service types can be combined (in 15 minute blocks) to make up the one hour minimum shift length, except for Nursing, Allied Health, Therapeutic Services and Home Repairs & Maintenance.
